Okay so lately we have been having some ant problems in out house, and we have been spraying some raid insect killing spray, and it doesn't seem to be working to well. So I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get rid of ants?

I heard putting things like vinegar and or cinnamon in the areas that are being overrun with ants can help because they hate the scent. I remember having some issues with ants in the past but it was when I was younger so I'm not sure what my parents did to get them out of the house.

For as long as I can remember both in my adults home when I lived with my parents and in my own homes since I have been living on my own I have always had some kind of problem with ants and it does not matter what stuff you try to get rid of them, they always seem to be immune to whatever you use and make their way back.
I have resorted to trying to seal up any areas where I know they are getting into if that is possible and trying out different home remedies that I find on the internet until I find one that works. So far, nothing has worked which is a pain and since we are getting a warmer summer than normal it only makes the ants come out more.
I sure hope you find a solution to your problem soon as I know how much of a pain these things can be.

There's just this simple spray I use in my garden and around the house if they get in. Funny enough, the spray is called "Ant Spray" and my gosh it really does the job. I had a HUGE amount of ants in my garden and I sprayed all the nests with this spray... Couple days later they were all gone and I was happy.

Did any of the solutions work? Just curious.
If you have any success it would be great to know for future reference.

I used some kind of chalk the last time ants appeared and it worked wonders . Other things you can do is to make sure that food isn't everywhere, especially sweet food .

alex, to be honest it's not my house it's my fathers. But he got them cleared off with a little bit of lemon juice.

We recently had a problem with ants at work and all we used was some ant killing powder, we've had no problems since.
