Late in 2010, i was active on forums and added relevant links in my signature and got interaction and traffic. Sometimes, people signed u under my referral link making me some bucks.
Nowadays, does such methods still work for promotion?

I don't seem to get much traffic to my forum with my signature. However, on one forum, I am allowed to put a YouTube video in my signature and this got me tons of views for that video.

No, not a single visitor. I use forum signatures to make backlinks to my money site(even if those links are no-follow).
