These days we have social networks such as facebook,twitter and even google , These sites allow you to create pages and groups which you can now also admin.
Do you think forums are dying? or will be dead soon? or do you think they will only get bigger and keep up with these sites and be more social. I for one want to keep forums going. I believe forums are much more fun.

Thats a scary thought, I don't want forums to die out. I think one day they will come back. People will grow tired of things like Facebook and Twitter.

jupiter8619, I highly doubt people will get tired of facebook and such due to them adding new features and such everyday. On the other hand I think forums will continue to grow because a lot of people enjoying searching to meet and chat with new people on the internet. You don't see people searching random people on facebook to just chat with them. Plus forums like this one will never die because people like free ways to advertise and this is one of them. Also, many people that own their own forums like to post on forums like these because we offer different packages for their forums site, etc.

I sat down and thought about this a little bit, something came to mind.
I honestly think since there are thousands of people doing them. I must say that I don't really think people are going to floor forums. Facebook is just a fling or a phase much like Myspace.
Do you ever hear about Myspace anymore?
I don't.
I think the next thing will replace Facebook.
